Ko~Sha~Rey Rhythms Therapeutics facilitating TerraSensa test phase exploration:  Clinical Analysis with Sister Kenny Research Center, Minneapolis, MN, USA

Ko~Sha~Rey Rhythms Therapeutics is in test phase exploration of Clinical Analysis with Sister Kenny Research Center, Minneapolis, MN, USA and www.teo-kassel.de to refine balance prosthesis ideal treatment protocols for the new TerrraSensa Modular Therapy Flooring.  (See this report:   in German only)

On-going results will be reported in March (EFA Conference) and June at the 14th International of Movement Disorder Society Conference.

Overview

Two-Step -- Ideal Foot Health Protocol:

Vibration and acupressure stimulates leg and feet proprioceptors more specifically and also helps disolve uric acid deposits that contribute to neuropathy/desensitizing of the body's adaptive balance signature.

Softer, flowing folds and waves of the TerraSensa enhance sensori-motoric stimulation, strengthen muscles and ligments and improve coordination.

Provides a unique blend of all ages "play and recreative-therapy".

This supports and maintains equilibrium as a natural and vital stabilizing process to enhance the mind~body connection and help research participants safely and securely "achieve greater awareness" of what the body is sensing and communicating to the brain.

About Sister Kenny Research Center

The recently opened Sister Kenny Research Center of the Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, Allina Hospitals and Clinics, implements a model for Medtech development through Clinical Innovation Teams (CIT) that focus on innovation around defined clinical needs.

Sister Kenny technologies include a robot to encourage patients to do their exercisizes at home, an antigravity-bed for exercise and balance therapy for patients confined to bed, and a pair of sox for people who cannot feel their feet but who can learn to interpret the vibrations from the upper sock in response to “heel-toe” contact sensors on the feet of the sock.

About Sister Kenny
Was an Australian nurse who developed a radical therapy for people with polio–physical manipulation of their limbs.  Too unconventional for her home county, she was banned from having contact with patients there.  Two physicians invited her to Minneapolis, which was having a polio outbreak at the time.
